SocialBee vs PromoRepublic

How is SocialBee different from PromoRepublic?

See how SocialBee can save you time over PromoRepublic 💪

The main difference between these two is that SocialBee focuses on varied types of content from various sources, while PromoRepublic is more of a visual tool that focuses on sharing an image with your text.

That being said, we’re pretty awesome (granted, we might be a bit biased), here’s why:

Evergreen Posting – Content Reposting/Recycling

PromoRepublic focuses on visual content which is why they even offer you a library of templates you can just edit and customize so it’s in sync with the message you want to communicate.

SocialBee is a bit more complex when it comes to evergreen or shared-once content because you have so many options. You can create content that’s evergreen, content that only goes out once and content that expires at a specific time or after it was shared for a scheduled number of times.

You have a lot of control over posting times and separating your content based on campaigns, promotions, RSS feeds, images and so on.

Content Categories (Aka Content Library)

PromoRepublic has no folders to organize your scheduled content.

Unfortunately, you don’t have the option to recycle content, however, you are able to repost things you’ve already shared. PromoRepublic offers a calendar view where you can schedule your posts.

With SocialBee, this part might seem complex until you get the hang of it.

You can create different categories and then think of a schedule around those categories. To name a few of these: you can add your own own RSS feeds, RSS feeds of people you follow, you can create promotional content as well as categories containing images. Each one of these categories can be set up as evergreen (where the content is recycled) or share once (where your content goes out once and then poof).

As for the schedule, with SocialBee you can either choose the preset schedule which uses the current best social media practices, or you can schedule posting days and hours to your liking.

Powerful RSS and Pocket Configuration

As opposed to PromoRepublic, SocialBee allows you to import RSS feeds or CSV Files to fill up your queue faster. But you can do so much more!

Using our platform, you can add RSS feeds directly into your categories, Import links or CSV files, use your Pocket account to share different tags to multiple content categories and you can also choose to post each of these imports only once or Evergreen.

Extra – did I tell you about our very own Social Media Team?

Beside our powerful Social Media Management Platform, we have a Team of Social Media Specialists – or Social Media Bees, as we like to call them – that provide a suite of Concierge Services which will help you with Social Media Posting.

So Should I use PromoRepublic or SocialBee?

We’d love it if you used SocialBee, but we’ll help you make the decision yourself:

PromoRepublic might be right for you if

  • You want to focus on visual content
  • You like creating your own visuals
  • You want to focus on sharing new content

SocialBee might be right for you if

  • You want to automate your posts more and save time to deal with the really important stuff
  • You want to be able to categorize and recycle your content

Having the content categories, and being able to recycle content makes it possible to post more often, even if you don’t have a VA or you’re not working on it full time.
